- US metal recycler Schnitzer Steel Industries announced that it has acquired the operating assets of Encore Recycling LLC (Encore) in the greater Atlanta Metro area.
- The acquisition was made on 29 Apr’22 with two full-service recycling facilities, including a metal shredding operation and a recycled auto-parts center.
- In 2021, the Encore facilities processed approximately 90,000 ferrous tonnes, 14 million non-ferrous and 20,000 end-of-life vehicles.
- The acquisition will enable Schnitzer to provide additional products and logistics solutions.
