Turkey: Steel billets imports up 12%, m-o-m, in Mar’22

Turkey’s steel billets imports increased by 11.89% in Mar’22 to 0.40 mnt compared with 0.36 mnt in Feb’22, as per data recently released by customs.
Russia was the major exporter with 0.34 mnt in the month under review.
However, import volumes fell by 16% y-o-y to 1.18 mnt in Jan-Mar’22 as against 1.41 mnt in Jan-Mar’21.
