Automobile component producers based in Gurgaon, Haryana, have received bids for stainless steel scrap (SS- 409L) at around INR 61,150/t exw at auctions recently. According to SteelMint sources, similar grade material was booked at a previous auction for INR 64,100/t ex works. The main reason for lower prices is lack of demand on the spot market due to poor offtake of finished steel products.
