Despite a sharp fall in South African thermal coal prices, port side offers continued to remain range bound at INR 22,500/t levels at Vizag port. RB3 (4800 kcal/kg NAR) offers were heard at INR 18,200/t. Procurement from sponge iron manufacturers continued to remain weak as they awaited further correction as imported RB1 prices were at $260/t FOB as on 28 April 2022, down by $44/t w-o-w.
