China: Iron ore spot prices rise on improved buying interest

The spot price of iron ore rose on increased demand on 28 Apr’22. Benchmark Fe 62% fines prices moved up by $1.55/t to settle at $142/t CFR China. While steel margins of Chinese producers remained low, several sources said that expectation of improvement in steel production is propelling iron ore demand.
