Japan: Flat steel exports surge over 25%, m-o-m, in March

Flat steel exports by Japan surged 26% to 2.36 mnt in Mar’22 from 1.88 mnt a month ago. Japanese mills exported 1.35 mnt of HRC and plates (more than 50% of total exports), followed by electrical steel at 0.50 mnt and galvanised steel at 0.20 mnt. China, Thailand and South Korea were among the top importing nations during the month.
