Nippon Steel Corporation, has decided to raise prices of steel bars, wire rods by JPY 35,000/t ($274/t) from Jul’22 for both domestic sales and exports. The company had already raised prices by JPY 35,000 in FY’21, bringing the cumulative total to JPY 70,000/t ($547/t). The additional price hike is due to the sharp rise in main raw material and logistics costs and also other various costs.
