Japan: Nippon Steel to raise stainless steel pipe prices by $391/t for May contracts

Japanese steel major Nippon Steel will raise the price of all types of seamless stainless steel pipes by JPY 50,000/t ($391/t) for May’22 contracts. The price hike is the result of surging costs of all steelmaking raw materials as well as energy prices, a Japan Metal Daily report says. The price hike is applicable for both domestic and overseas store sales and straps.
