China’s rebar production falls by nearly 12%, y-o-y, in March-NBS

Production of reinforcement steel bars in China stood at 20.39 mnt in Mar’22, a decrease of 11.9% y-o-y, National Bureau of Statistics data show. In Jan-Mar’22, total rebar production was 55.28 mnt, down 13.3% y-o-y. Wire rods output was assessed at 12.364 mnt in Mar, down 10.9% y-o-y. Total wire rods production in Jan-Mar was 32.803 mnt, down 16.8% y-o-y.
