Iran: Steel production drops 5% y-o-y in Persian year ended Mar’22

Iran’s steel production declined 5% in the Persian year ended Mar’22 due to power shortage and gas supply worries. The production of finished steel fell marginally y-o-y to 19.64 mnt, as per data released by ISPA. Production of long steel fell by 3% to 11.2 mnt, while flats output declined by 8% y-o-y to 8.4 mnt.
