Vietnam: Steel exports surge over 70%, m-o-m, in Mar’22

Steel exports by Vietnam stood at 0.80 million tonnes (mnt) in Mar’22, a increase of 71% against 0.47 mnt a month ago, SteelMint data show. Exports rose admist the Russia-Ukraine crisis, which created room for other exporting countries to fill in the gap backed by increased domestic steel production. In Q1CY’22, exports dropped by 22% to 2.04 mnt versus 2.63 mnt in the same period last year.
