Steel major JFE Steel has decided to raise the prices of hot-dipped galvanised (HDG) steel and colour steel by JPY 30,000/t ($234/t) from May’22. The price hike is an outcome of rising concerns over demand and supply of raw materials and the cost burden on manufacturing. Also, the cost of auxiliary materials such as aluminum and zinc have risen supporting the price hike.
