OMC’s chrome ore auction today from its South Kaliapani, Sukrangi and Bangur mines in Odisha received moderate response. Only a fraction of the total quantity of over 42,000 t was booked despite the fact that the base price was reduced by 5.4% compared with the previous auction. The material from Sukrangi received bids at par with the floor price. Ferro chrome prices are at around INR 120,000/t exw Jajpur, as assessed on 14 Apr.
