Indonesian high-CV thermal coal prices rose by $17/t amid rising enquiries from Japan and Europe following their ban on Russian coal imports. Limited domestic supply of coal in Indonesia following heavy rains and declining stock with the country’s electricity company PLN, have also supported sentiments. Prices of Indonesian 4200 GAR fell as demand from China remained weak surrounding the ongoing lockdown restrictions.
