Norway: Norsk Hydro restarts its Albras liquid aluminium potline

Norwegian aluminium producer Norsk Hydro ASA restarted operations at its Albras Aluminio Brasileiro S.A. smelting plant in Brazil.
The plant briefly suspended about 75% of its production due to a power outage in the region occurred in mid-February 2022.
The power outage affected only one of the plant’s four potlines. Line 2 has a production capacity of 0.11 mntpa of liquid aluminium while the company’s production capacity is 0.46 mntpa.
