South Korea: Flat steel exports rise 9%, m-o-m, in Mar’22

South Korea’s flat steel exports rose 9% to 1.84 mnt in Mar’22 compared with 1.69 mnt a month ago, SteelMint data show. The major export destinations were China, Japan and the USA. HRC/plates held the largest share of exports at 0.62 mnt followed by galvanised steel and CRC at 0.50 mnt and 0.32 mnt respectively.

In Q1CY’22, exports stood at 5.53 mnt, down 2% as against 5.63 mnt in Q1CY’21.
