Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang increased marginally by INR 200/t today except minor corrections in plate sizes, as per SteelMint assessment. Limited buying enquiries for scrap at this price level has been observed. Rangebound prices in the semi-finished steel segment and buyers were active to procure scrap as seen during yesterday’s trading session led suppliers to raise offers slightly.
