China’s heavy plates (SS400) export offers remain unchanged this week vis-a-vis previous week’s level due to the government’s proposed inflation target. Besides security of price and quantity, the lack of clarity on export tariff imposition have raised concerns. Supply concerns in the domestic market is rising, despite an increase in imports. According to SteelMint, HR-plate offers stand at around $895-905/t FOB China, as on 6 Apr’22.
