Japan: Ferro silicon imports drop by 12% on-month in Feb’22

Japan’s ferro silicon imports decreased in Feb’22 by 12% to 31,507 t m-o-m from 35,821 t in Jan. However, on a yearly basis, imports increased by 30% to 67,327 t. The major exporting countries to Japan were Russia at 10,440 t and Brazil at 8,843 t followed by China at 4,065 t and Malaysia at 3,695 t.
