Japan’s stainless-steel manufacturer has raised the price of nickel-based stainless steel thick middle plates by JPY 10,000/t (USD 81/t). As semiconductor manufacturing equipment, pharmaceutical and food-related products continue to be in high demand, hot sheet and 4-stage mill prices are at JPY 510,000/t (USD 4,120/t) and JPY 630,000/t (USD 5,089/t) respectively. In the distribution sector, the market is expected to stay positive for some time.
