In a confirmed deal, 5,000 t of South African RB3 (4800 kcal/kg NAR) grade coal was sold at INR 16,600/t, down INR 400/t over the last two days. Another deal for 2,000 t RB3 coal was heard concluded at INR 16,300/t at Vizag port. Firm RB2 offers at INR 19,500/t at Gangavaram Port amid tight stocks compelled sponge iron manufacturers to procure RB3 coal, market participants informed.
