Steel billets prices in China’s Tangshan rose by RMB 30/t ($5/t) on 1 Apr’22. Prices stood at RMB 4,860/t ($764/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE re-bar futures contract for Oct’22 delivery closed today at RMB 5,160/t ($811/t), witnessing a sharp rise of RMB 99/t ($15/t), d-o-d.
