Goan government sold its second lot of 0.35 MnT Iron ore through 4th e-auction, in which total quantity was 3 MnT. The auction has to be held on 3 dates i.e. 19, 20 & 21 Aug, 2014. The second lot of 0.35 MnT was put under hammer on 20 Aug, 2014.
“The auction was for total quantity of 360,000 MT Iron ore, in which responses were comparatively better than yesterday’s auction. Bids were much higher than yesterday, especially for high grade cargo. For an instance, cargo of 72,000 MT (Fe 52.4 grade), carrying a base price of INR 620/MT has fetched bids by upto INR 800/MT. Similarly, bids for high grade ore also went up by INR 200-400/MT ,” said an exporter who participated in the auction.
