Coal India mining arm North Eastern Coalfields Ltd. (NECL) received overwhelming response in the coal auction held yesterday after almost two years. Premium grade G1 (7400-7500 kcal/kg) coal received price realisation of INR 15,981/t, while bids for G2 and G3 grades were slightly lower at INR 14,424/t and INR 11,939/t respectively. The entire volume of 42,000 t was booked at a price of INR 12,882/t.
