Amid power outages and elevated coal prices, Sri Lanka is heard to have booked 60,000 t of coal from the Singapore unit of Russian coal trader SUEK AG. The shipment is expected to arrive in second week of April. The transaction will be done in USD. A letter of credit has been opened by the central bank and, at maturity payment, will be made by the treasury, cites market reports.
