INDIA-Manganese Ore market stable after MOIL's price hike

Domestic Manganese Ore prices have stabilized, after MOIL had earlier raised prices by 9-10% for April-June quarter, which impacted the prices of Silico Manganese and Ferro Manganese to rise. “There is a restricted supply now while demand is pretty decent, so that will provide some support to Manganese ore prices,” a Durgapur-based trader said. “I doubt there will be much room for prices to decline in the immediate future.”

We have heard some imported deals from Gabon (Africa) concluded at $5.6-5.65/dmtu CFR India for 44% Mn, he further added.

Several industry sources said sellers were confident of sustained support for ore prices, so they were not willing to move their offer levels down.
