Steel melting scrap prices witnessed a sharp fall of INR 1,500/t ($20/t), particularly in the central Indian market of Raipur following offers from the surrounding markets amid declining semi-finished and finished steel prices. On the other hand, in the western India-based Gujarat market scrap prices improved marginally d-o-d on supply concerns, sources informed SteelMint.
