Sluggish demand has pushed Structure prices down by INR 2,500-2,700/MT in 16 weeks. While, during the month prices have fallen by upto INR 1,700/MT.
As Ingot & Billet prices started to fall sharply, Structure manufacturers were bound to reduce their offers. Moreover, regular falling demand was the main reason for price fall.
However, during this week prices showed a slight upward movement across India. Low availability of Sponge iron is the reason behind price hike. Meanwhile, demand is still dull for Structural material.
