Vedanta, a leading exporter of pig iron, has floated a 20,000 t export tender for April shipment. The tender is due on 28 Mar’22, sources informed. Indian pig iron exports have gained momentum on active enquiries from the USA following the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The recent export deals from India over the last couple of weeks were heard concluded at $800-810/t FOB.
