Melting scrap prices witnessed slight variations across regions on 24 Mar’22. In the northern region, scrap prices rose by INR 800, especially in the Ludhiana market, tracking semi-finished steel prices, whereas in the Maharashtra market prices saw a marginal correction. Meanwhile, in south India, prices remained stable d-o-d on regular procurement, SteelMint notes.
