- The US has partially lifted section 232 tariffs on steel and aluminium products coming from the UK which earlier were at 25% and 10% respectively, imposed in 2018 on national security grounds.
- This step has been taken to further ease the gap between supply and demand for these products in US. The changes will take effect from 1 June 2022, as per reports.
