High Carbon Ferro Manganese prices have changed marginally owing to lackluster trade. Market participants remain unoptimistic about market trend.
HC Ferro Manganese market remains flat this week as demand was slow and traders were observed declining their offers. In Raipur, Ferro Manganese (70% Mn) is being traded at INR 57,000/MT. Currently in Durgapur, Ferro Manganese (70% Mn) offer prices is at around INR 59,000/MT.
“Demand has been limited and there has been no real activity for such a long period,” remarked a producer from Raipur.
Export Market
HC Ferro Manganese prices in the export market have fallen owing to slack activity and weakening market sentiments. Export offers for HC Ferro Manganese 70% min is at around USD 930/MT FoB India (East Coast) and 75% min is being offered at around USD 1,000/MT FoB India. Overseas demand for Indian origin HC Ferro Manganese is low, and Indian suppliers aided by the weak Rupee have further held their offers unchanged to consummate trade.
Market sources are not very positive over the outlook as market is down with demand. SteelMint assessed that HC Ferro Manganese market to remain quiet till month-end, as buyers are reluctant to commit amid unclear market direction.
