Steel Authority of India Ltd, (SAIL), India's largest steel producer has shown interest for buying 40,000 tons of Lam coke / BF coke for its Bhilai Plant.
A tender has been floated on 16th April and last of submission is 27th April 2013.
Company says procurement of 40,000 tons is against requirement of their 2 months of requirement (May -June). Minimum quantity supplied by each bidder should not be less than 15,000 tons to be transported in railway wagons.
Current offers in open market are varying in range of Rs 17,000-18,000/t Ex Works Cuttack, for 80-84 Fixed Carbon).
