India’s induction furnace (IF) steel market witnessed mixed trends on 22 Mar’22 as offers from the mid-sized mills fluctuated in the range of INR 100-1,000/tonne (t) d-o-d.
Sponge iron and billet prices varied in the range of INR 100-900/t, with a major fall seen in raipur’s sponge iron market.
However, rebar (Fe 500) offers surged in the broad range of INR 100-1,000/t across regions. The sharpest rise of INR 1,000/t was witnessed in Delhi/NCR, north India, and Chennai in south India.
The market remained dull on slow demand throughout the day. Trade sources informed that very few trades were recorded in the semis and finished steel segments.
