Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, remain supported today as suppliers raised offers by INR 200/t, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 48,200/t exy. Scrap prices remain stable at a high level and moderate transactions in semi-finished steel in and around the Gujarat region prompted suppliers to increase offers.
