India: Hindalco, Balco hike aluminium ingot prices by INR 6,750/t ($89/t)

Hindalco and Balco increased primary aluminium ingot (P1020, 99.7%) prices by INR 6,750/t ($89/t) d-o-d on 17 Mar’22.
Hindalco’s and Balco’s effective prices stand at INR 289,000/t ($3,810/t) and INR 291,750/t ($3,846/t) respectively as against prices on 16 Mar.
Balco has a production capacity of around 0.6 mnt per annum, 15% of India’s market share, while Hindalco’s production capacity is 1.2 mnt per annum – 34% of the domestic market share.
