India: NMDC to conduct Iron Ore Auction in Chhattisgarh

NMDC is conducting an auction for sale of 120,000 MT Iron ore through mjunction for its Chhattisgarh based mines.

National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) is auctioning 120,000 MT Iron ore from Bailadila Sector in Kirandul & Bacheli (Chhattisgarh) conducted by mjunction.

The material will be delivered on FoR ex-mines basis. The last date for submission of EMD & Online Forward Auction (OFA) document is 14 Aug, 2014 till 12.00 hrs IST.

The auction will be held on the same day i.e. 14 Aug, 2014 and scheduled to commence between 14.00 to 16.00 hrs IST.

Quantity Details

  • Lumps (Fe 65.5%): 32,000 MT
  • ROM (Fe 65.5%): 32,000 MT
  • Fines (Fe 64%): 32,000 MT
  • CLO (Fe 67%) : 24,000 MT

Total Quantity: 120,000 MT

As per Chhattisgarh government’s order, a transit fee of INR 7/MT for transportation of Iron ore will be collected by NMDC and paid to the CG forest division.

The transit fee will be applicable on royalty, sales tax /VAT, forest development tax, forest permit fee, labor welfare cess and taxes etc at the time of supplies.

NMDC had conducted an auction on 5 Aug, 2014 to sale 148,000 MT Iron ore (Fines: 60,000 MT; Lumps: 80,000 MT; ROM: 4,000 MT; CLO: 4,000 MT) from its Bailadila mines in Chhattisgarh.
