Vietnam: Ferrous scrap imports surge 94% m-o-m in Feb’22

Vietnam’s ferrous scrap imports were recorded at 0.31 mnt in Feb’22, a sizeable 94% increase from 0.16 mnt in January.
Japan was the largest supplier with 126,960 t, followed by USA and Hong Kong with 76,900 t and 36,320 t respectively.
On a year-on-year basis, import volumes declined by 3% from 0.32 mnt in Feb’21.
