- Sponge iron export offers rose by $25/t, as per SteelMint’s weekly assessment. About 18,000 t deals were reported this week at a range of $545-565/t on CPT basis. Fresh offers are hovering at $565/t CPT Benapole, equivalent to $595/t CFR Chittagong, Bangladesh.
- Sponge iron demand remains active on account of surging scrap and raw materials prices globally. In addition, finished steel prices in Bangladesh also inched up on improved demand.
