India: Tata Power’s KPC secures 10-year mining permit of Indonesian coal

PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC), a subsidiary of Tata Power, secured a 10-year special coal mining business permit in Indonesia, as per CoalMint reports. This comes as shipments from Indonesia remain under pressure amidst heavy rainfall and volatile prices. The renewal of the permit ensures regular supply of coal for Tata Power’s thermal power plants, the company added.
