Against the backdrop of the escalating situation in Ukraine, the LME decided to suspend nickel trading on 8 Mar’22 in order to maintain a stable market, as supply concerns over gold of Russian origin are spreading. Temporarily, the price exceeded $100,000 to touch $101,365/t. It rose 1.8 times higher than the previous day. According to sources, trading will not resume until 11 March.
