India: JSPL reports m-o-m decline in production, sales in Feb’22

Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL) reported steel production at 0.657 mnt and total sales at 0.59 mnt in Feb’22, down 4% and 15% respectively compared with Jan. On an annualised basis, production volumes rose marginally by 1% as against 0.653 mnt and sales rose by 8% from 0.545 mnt in Feb’21.

The slowdown in sales was majorly due to limited rake availability primarily in eastern India.
