Iran: Billet, rebar prices surge amidst trade tensions

Iran’s domestic billet and rebar prices rose sharply due to the ongoing geopolitical conflict between Russia and Ukraine and Iran’s rising export prices, sources informed SteelMint.

• Steel billet prices rose sharply by 8,200 Rial/Kg to 151,700 Rial/Kg compared to 2 Mar’22.
• Rebar prices stood at 165,000 Rial/Kg on 7 Mar, a sharp rise of 6,000 Rial/Kg.
