USA: Coal exports from Hampton Roads rise nearly 15%, y-o-y, in Jan’22

The Virginia Maritime Association has reported that coal volumes exported from the Hampton Roads terminals in Virginia, USA, in Jan’22 stood at 2.23 mn t , up 3.4% m-o-m and 15% y-o-y. Of the three terminals, the Dominion Terminal exported the highest quantity of 0.94 mn t, followed by Kinder Morgan’s Pier IX in Newport with 0.65 mn t. The Hampton Road is the biggest coal exporting port of US.
