India: SAIL invites Bid to Setup 1 MnT Pellet Plant

SAIL is planning to setup 1 MnT Pellet plant at Dalli mines in Chhattisgarh.

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), one of the largest Steel producers in India, invites bid through on-line Reverse Auction to setup Pellet plant along with generated Fines (GF)/Slime Beneficiation plant at Dalli in Chhattisgarh. Dalli-Rajhara Iron ore mine is the existing captive mines of Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP).

Scope of work includes mainly engineering, design, fabrication/erection drawings, manufacture/supply & transportation, instrumentation & automation etc for setting up a Pellet plant.

Successful tenderer has to complete the work within 24 months.

Operation & maintenance cost will not include  in the part of evaluation.

Eligibility

  • Tenderer should have experience in design/engineering, supply, erection/erection supervision and commissioning of at least 1  new beneficiation plant minimum of 2 MnT pa in past 10 year
  • Tenderer shall have also experience of above mentioned work in commissioning supervision of at least 1 new Pellet plant of minimum 1.0 MnT pa capacity using straight grate technology in a single module working on hematite ore in the past 10 years

  • Bid submission due date: 11.00 hrs IST on 16 Sep, 2014
  • Bid opening date: 11.30 hrs IST on 16 Sep, 2014

Note: BSP, a unit of SAIL, is expanding its Blast Furnace unit for hot metal production to 7.6 MnT pa.
