According to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA), USA’s coal production reached 606 mnt, up 8% y-o-y and for 2022 production is expected to grow by 5%. Total exports of coal were 77.3 mn t, an increase of 23.4 % y-o-y of which coking coal had a share of 41.13 mn t, an increase of 7.7% y-o-y. Thermal coal exports stood at 36.17 mn t.
