Mongolia: Coal production capacity rises 6% y-o-y Jan’22

Coal production capacity in China’s Inner Mongolian region rose to 995.4 mnt/annum by 31 Jan’22, as per media reports. This marked a 6% y-o-y rise in production capacity with the number of mines rising by 15 in a year period. The rise in coal output capacity in the region comes amidst the country’s rising power demand during the summer season.
