Russia: Suek declares force majeure on coal shipments

Russia’s largest coal supplier Suek along with Kuzbassrazrezugol (KRU) has declared force majeure on shipments from the ports of Murmansk and in the Baltic amidst railing constraints. Shipments from the country have almost stopped amidst uncertainty over payments as sanctions by USA, EU, and several other countries, including China have curtailed many Russian banks’ access to the SWIFT system.
