In a confirmed deal, 8,000 t of South African RB2 (5500 NAR) grade coal was sold at INR 18,000/t at Vizag Port. Uncertainty surrounding the Russia-Ukraine war and correction in RB1 prices by $18/t d-o-d to $224/t FOB, prompted buyers to take a backseat. Limited portside stock and higher domestic coal prices at auction, however, kept portside RB2 prices higher, traders informed.
