Shipbreaking melting scrap prices dropped by INR 300/t d-o-d, while few sizes marginally up on 26 Feb’22. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 42,500/t, while attachment scrap prices are at INR 43,500/t exy. Scrap prices dropped due to low transactions in semi-finished steel and purchase enquiries fell in the spot market yesterday prompting scrap suppliers to reduce offers slightly.
